A. Mangiafico Obituary

Jean Mangiafico died peacefully at home on Thursday, July 19, 2018. She lived a full and happy life and was adored by many. She was born on September 27, 1932 in Lunenburg, Virginia. Jean worked at G.Fox for many years, where she was awarded Employee of the Year on multiple occasions, and retired in 1993. She was married to the love of her life, Emanuel Daniel Mangiafico, for almost 40 years. She was predeceased by her husband and her son-in- law, Benjamin Larry Fatheree. She was loved deeply and will be remembered by her family who includes her son Daniel Mangiafico, his wife Carolyn and their children, Taylor and Gabriel; her daughter, Danielle Sullivan and her husband Geoffrey, and their children Emily, Sarah and Shane. She was blessed to meet and enjoy her great grandson, Weston and his mother Elaina. The one thing she wanted to be remembered for was how well she loved. Jean was committed to her family and was the ultimate confidant. She lived in a way that made everyone she came in contact with feel seen, appreciated and valued. In everything life brought her way, Jean maintained a smile on her face and responded with a sense of humor and ease. She was continuously in awe of nature and all its beauty. Jean experienced great enjoyment from the endless books she read and the knowledge she gained. Jean will be greatly missed but her spirit lives on through all the lives she touched. A memorial service will be held at St. James Church in Rocky Hill, CT on Tuesday, July 31st at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, The American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
