Aaron Teitelman Obituary

Aaron Teitelman of Cromwell, formerly of Wethersfield and New Haven, passed away on December 26th, just shy of his 90th birthday. He is predeceased by his son Stephen Teitelman and daughter Ellen Bali. Aaron was a devoted husband to his wife Arlene Alter Teitelman of more than 67 years. He is survived by his daughter Kim Teitelman. Aaron was a loving Poppy to J David Teitelman, Shana Teitelman, Melissa Bali and Danielle Bali.

He was the son of the late Joseph and Ruth Teitelman and brother of Beatrice Hartley and Doris Dimenstein. Aaron was a graduate of Hill House High School and a veteran of the Army.

Aaron will be remembered for his hard work, attention to detail and willingness to provide his guidance. He worked his entire career selling home appliances. Aaron worked and managed many home appliance stores from Southern Connecticut to Springfield before owning and operating Shopper's World in Waterbury.

Since his retirement, on most weekday mornings, you could find Aaron at the counter of Mitchell's Diner in Rocky Hill. His order: a hard roll grilled with grape jelly and coffee. Then Aaron would be off to the library to read the newspaper. He was a fan of the New York Yankees and the Giants.

Arlene--so sorry to hear about Aaron. As you know we go way back, he was an old friend from the old neighborhood--we had been out of touch but not out of mind. He was a mensch. Best wishes.
