Adrian Paradis

Adrian Paradis, 90, of Manchester, formerly of East Hartford, beloved husband of the late Shirley (Soucie) Paradis, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Riverside Health Care in East Hartford surrounded by his family. He was born on February 25, 1933 in Fort Kent, ME, son of the late Louis and Marie (Doustou) Paradis. Adrian served our country during the Korean War with the U.S. Army. Upon returning from military service, Adrian was married to the love of his life Shirley Soucie in January of 1955. They moved to East Hartford where they lived for 60 years. Adrian worked for Pratt & Whitney as a millwright, retiring in 1993 after over 35 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and picking fiddleheads. He always looked forward to his many vacations and fishing trips back to the Eagle Lake region in Northern Maine. He leaves his children Michael Paradis and his wife Marcia of Ellington; Debra Delconte and her husband Ron of North Myrtle Beach, SC; Kevin Paradis and his wife Jill of South Windsor; Cindy Silvestri and her husband Arthur of South Windsor, and Donald Paradis and his wife Diane of Longs, SC; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind two special friends, Rudolph (Rudy) Tardif and Dorothy (Dot) Susca. Adrian was predeceased by 11 siblings. The family would like to thank the staff and care givers at White Oaks in Manchester and Riverside Health & Rehab in East Hartford. His family will receive friends Wednesday, April 12, 2023, from 4-7 p.m. at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church, 80 Hayes Road, South Windsor.
