Dear Richard, Teri and families,
I just learned of your loss last evening when speaking with a friend from Eastport. Your Dad and Mom were great friends of my parents and I always enjoyed thier Fourth of July visits in Eastport. I heard from your Dad at Christmas and could see the sorrow in his writing following the death of your Mom. He lived a good life. He had a great family and many friends. He is at peace with your Mom and visiting with many friends he made along the journey of life.

Me and Al worked together At Pratt for a number of years together on the 3rd shift and he was the most conciencious person I knewn,never missing a detail and always professional.We shared adventures of our beloved Marine Corp although they were a war apart and I would have liked to serve with him.Semper Fi Al,Rest in Peace.

Dear Grampa,
You taught me how to respect myself, and how to behave with respect to every single person I meet. Thank you for always loving me and supporting me, for setting me straight when I got out of hand, for all of the laughs, and for sharing your crazy adventure stories. Your love and devotion to Gramma is a thing of such beauty, and the way your heart opened more and more after her passing is equally beautiful. You will stay with me and inspire me always.

Your Dad was truly a wonderful man, and will be greatly missed by everyone in the neighborhood. I know I'll miss his wonderful stories, his car that he made himself & drove around the block, and all of the engines that he rebuilt and used to run. Teri, Nicole, Chris and Jess-
Your Father/Grandfather was an amazing man, with so many life accomplishments. His biggest and most honored, I am sure, would be his family.
I lost my Grandmother this week as well and know how difficult this is, but I keep holding onto the fact that we have all been SO privileged to have had our Grandparents in our lives for as long as we have. There are so many more Good memories, Great memories, Happy memories to have that it will be easy to wash away the bad, the end, the not so good times.
I am hopeful that Al is now at peace and that he and his Lady Jane will once again be together.

Words cannot express the sorrow we feel for your loss. As our neighbor and friend, we grew to know and love AL very much. Both Rick and I adored him. I especially loved listening to him talk about Maine and nature. Being a Canadian born girl myself - AL and I had alot in common. Rick and I will treasure the friendship we had with him always!! It won't be the same without him putzing around outside and stopping by to say hello. He will be greatly missed.
