Alexandra E. "Alex" Frey

1993 - 2018

June 24, 1993 - September 5, 2018 Alexandra Frey, beloved daughter of Dan and Carrie Frey, has passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. In addition to her parents, she is survived by two wonderful sets of grandparents: Pete & Christine Brail of Wallingford and Greg & Cindi Frey of Tolland. Alex is also survived by three sets of aunts and uncles: Peter & Mary Brail of Wallingford, Jeff & Amie Cavaliere of Cromwell and Rui & Maria Carvalho of South Windsor. Alex was pre-deceased by her uncle David Brail. She is also survived by loving cousins Peter, Amanda, Ryan, Jacob and Camron. Alex also received tremendous love and support from her long-time boyfriend Mike Leonard and his family, as well as loyal and caring friends including Jackie, Rachel, and Kim in CT plus the Price Family, Jerry, and Leslie in UT. Alex attended both Rocky Hill High School and The Ethel Walker School before ultimately graduating from Discovery Academy in Utah. She completed classes at Brigham Young University and Manchester Community College, working towards a degree that would enable her to help others who faced the mental health issues she struggled with through most of her life. Alex had a deep love of animals, including her dogs Rocky and Everrette, and most especially her horse Cruiser. Alex's greatest pleasures were being at the horse barn, being on the boat with Mike's family, and doing church study with her many spiritual mentors. Calling hours are Thursday, September 13 from 4-7pm at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm Street, Rocky Hill. Private service will follow at the convenience of the family.
