Alexandros Pseftoudis

1934 - 2019

Alexandros Pseftoudis, 84, of Hartford, husband of the late Maria Pseftoudis, died peacefully, Saturday, February 2, 2019 at his home with his devoted family by his bedside. He was born May 19, 1934 in Agios Alexandros, Lemnos, Greece and was the son of the late Vayianos and Georgia Pseftoudis. Alexandros worked at Colt's Firearms and eventually owned and operated South Whitney Pizza for many years. He was well known as a very kind and gentle person. He was a member and the chef of the Hellenic Soccer Club. He served in the Greek Army. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends. He is survived by his three daughters, Effie Tsagdis and her husband, Haralampos of Hartford, Harriet Tsombanos and husband, Athanasios of Wethersfield and Georgia Drakopoulos and husband, Peter of Mashpee, Massachusetts, his sister Eugenia Christothoulou in Greece, four grandchildren, Vasiliki Frowert, Christopher Tsombanos, Nicole Street and Deanna Drakopoulos along with two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Eleni Pseftoudis. We love you very much, we miss you and you will always be in our hearts. Funeral Service will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 433 Fairfield Avenue, Hartford. The burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
