Alice M. Cyr

Alice M. Cyr, 93, of West Hartford, died Monday (May 27, 2002) at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Windham, she was the daughter of the late Esdras J. and Mary Agnes (Lambert) Cyr. Alice was employed with Phoenix Life Insurance Company for many years, retiring in 1972, and was a communicant of the Church of St. Helena. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards, always looking forward to the weekly card party. She also loved birds, painting, and doing needlework. Alice was predeceased by her brother, Eugene Cyr. She is survived by many dear friends. Funeral services will be Thursday, 9:15 a.m. from the Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, 136 South Main St., West Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to celebrated at 10 a.m. at the Church of St. Helena, West Hartford. Burial will follow at Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
