Angus Way Obituary

Angus P. Way, 97, of Rocky Hill, formerly of Glastonbury, husband of the late Theresa (Westergom) Way, died Tuesday October 7, 2014 at CT. Hospice in Branford. Born March 14, 1917 in Norwich, CT, son of the late Francis G. and Margaret (Park) Way he had lived in Glastonbury many years moving to Rocky Hill 20 years ago. Angus was a member of Friendship-Tuscan Lodge #145 in Manchester, a Captain in the Governor's Foot Guard and had served in the Submarine Division in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Angus is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Kim Way of Wethersfield, Timothy Way of Middletown and Christina Way of Middletown and Granite City, IL, a daughter Sally Tinker Hickey of Hartford. four grandchildren Rachel Way and Shaelyn Way both of Wethersfield, Stephanie Way of Manchester, Michael Hickey of Hartford and five step grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Saturday Oct. 11 at 10:00am in the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Friday Oct. 10 from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the First Church of Christ, Congregational, Music Department, 250 Main St., Wethersfield, CT. 06109 or to the Masonic Charity Foundation, 74 Cheshire Rd., P.O. We grieve with you on the loss of your loved one and all SUBVETS and their families have your family in our thoughts and prayers. There is no expiration date on the back of our dolphins and Angus will always be remembered as a “Brother of the Phin”, a member of our Greatest Generation, and a great Patriot.
