Dearest Daughter,
I have come to this site because I am looking for a source of power to move the world in directions over which I have no force. As Our Angel, I ask you to see the needs & somehow bring forth the miracles that our loved ones need to be safe and happy.
Loving you, Mom

I lost a child before birth and loved this baby just as much as any time in his life as it might have been. However, the loss of a child you have held, bathed, dressed, fed, disciplined, kissed, loved, over whom you have prayed and hoped, and for whom you would have given your own life, is unimaginable. I grieve with you and rejoice in the time with which Ann Marie blessed your life. God gives us His greatest gift in our children. On this Mother's Day I am blessed by the friendship of Ann Marie's Mom Diane. In Jesus'/Yeshua's Name!

The designated Mother's Day is upon us for 2010-but we know how you are missed each day by your beloved children...I'm envisioning their heavenly life with you-and this earthly one a mere shadow blowing over quickly and simultaneously the children you love so much are living a happy, healthy life with you and all your loved ones (me too :) in that better place. We, in both places, love you & Gram & Papa & all who have gone before. Love, Mom & Dad

Dearest Ann Marie,
This is school vacation week in E.H. I know it must be very difficult for T,G,& B-who are still at home, & missing that quality time you spent together during breaks from school. Please send us all the strength to accept your passing, and the wisdom to turn to each other for family love, and the support we need to meet our obligations and find joy in this earthly life. Dear Ann Marie,
I miss you very much. No one can fill your shoes...I have been trying just to take a few steps down your path. However, though the destination may be clear, the navigation is difficult. I miss sitting back and riding with YOU-what you did for so long, for so many...was amazing. Please watch over all of us...strengthen us as we weaken, and enlighten us as we pass through the darkness. With love, Mom & Dad

Dearest Daughter,
The rainbow of your fleeting journey here puts a smile on my face, but a tear in my eye washes away the disbelief that you have passed through so quickly. Perhaps where you are time does "stand still" and the joyful moments we shared permeate our unending lives. We love you. Mom & Dad XOXO

Dearest Ann Marie...Missing you a lot.
Please continue protecting your loved ones here...for some, life is very difficult, and it seems the earthlings who do care are helpless. We need supernatural forces to move the mountainous obstacles that are blocking good health, safety, and joy for some of our loved ones here. Thank you, for hearing our pleas. Love, Mom

Dear Sweet Missed Daughter,
I love you and thank you for all the love you gave Dad & Me...and the courage you showed during your medical battle...Yesterday I had a minor medical procedure. When it began, the anesteiologist sp? put in an IV port-I began to cry. I though of all the invasions of your body you underwent. I remember your courage. I tried to be like you, and was ashamed for my fears... We are missing you everyday, and simultaneously envisioning you well and happy...and right here with all of us. Love, Mom & Dad

Dearest Ann Marie,
It is Thanksgiving Day, and I know you were with all of us giving your blessings to each moment. In Bloomfield your Zoser and family enjoyed the traditional Hazel gathering. A. brought his new son, A.H.H. Junior...perhaps reincarnated with some of the wonderful spirit within you. Like his Dad, he is charming us...even in his contented sleep. Z. is very happy with his siblings, and he loves his school. Going to church is now one of his favorite activities. He prayers several times a day at St. Augustine's where he studies. Z. remains the beautiful individual who captured all our hearts. We love you and miss you very much. Tomorrow we plan to host the R. side, and A. & Family will unite with them, the first time here in RH. Please bless us all with a safe journey and a joyful family gathering...in your honor. Love, Mom & Dad

AFTERGLOW
(from the Memorial Card)
I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one. I'd like to leave an Afterglow of Smiles when the day is done. I'd like to leave an Echo Whispering Softly Down the Ways of Happy Times and Laughing Times and Bright Sunny Days.
I'd like the tears of those who
grieve, to dry before the Sun...of Happy Memories that I leave behind when the day is done.

Beautiful Daughter, Beautiful Angel,
As you know, today is Alonzo's 30th birthday. I remember the cakes and the candles when he was little...it was you who took the time and care to make a special celebration. We have many pictures in our albums...photos that you took with love. Though you are invisible, I believe you are nearby. You are watching over us. Thank you for all your loving care. Hello to all our loved ones who, like you, gave us so much wisdom, joy and love. Popa Harry and I went blueberrying today-like you and Gram loved to do. We rode the wagon and remembered the good times. Love you. XXX 000 Mom

Dearest Ann Marie,
Yesterday was Easter, and I went to church here on earth for you...I remembered that you wanted to find a spiritual home for you and your family to worship together. The themes spoken and visualized connected to our lives and your ascent into a higher world. Friends and members of the church community had worked together these past weeks making paper cranes. I remember that we discussed this beautiful story of the Japanese girl who was in the hospital, suffering from illness brought on by the poisionous bombing of Hiroshima. Each bird represents an act of love, a plea for peace, and the faith that by working together we can raise the level of our lives, and the lives of people around the world, to a higher... violence-free plane. Strong daughter, one of your strenghths was your determination to do only the right thing to safeguard the lives of the children you loved at home, and those whom you met and cherished outside of your immediate family. My heart tells me you
loved the crane-filled service this Easter morning. Perhaps you have been folding paper cranes up there with the children who have preceeded or followed you...and that those envoys of peace are flying our way. Happy Rebirth. Love, Mom & Dad

It was a cold, dark rainy evening
The familiar road home from Mansfield to Rocky Hill turned into a strange series of hills and corners
No businesses. No lights.
Then a spotlight shone on two cars
Parked in front of an old New England
church hall.
Two teens were carrying in packages
Perhaps in preparation for Morning Services.
"...lost... Can you direct me...?"
"I have nothing else to do...",
came an unexpected 3rd voice.
"Follow me and I will lead you there...to Route 2."
Across dark, winding hills and valleys, the Woman in her Strong, Shiney Black Carriage spread her
Wings and led me to safety.
There was no opportunity to talk, just a gesture of Prayerful Thanks and a Heavenly Smile in Return...
Was that you Ann Marie, leading your Mom safely home?
"That was Ann Marie!" Poppa Harry
proclaimed assuredly.
Thank you, Sweet Angel. I will remember that with You in my Life,
I am never alone.
Love, Mom

Dear AnnMarie,
I was so very very sad to hear of your passing. So many years have gone by, But you were always a wonderful caring friend whom I will always cherish knowing. You wrote in my year book that true friends are ones whom you can go many years in between talking to and pick up right where you left off. My deepest sympathies to all of your family and friends. You will truly be missed.

My Hero.My Mom. Ann Marie Robida? She was and still is my everything. She was the best mother, daughter, aunt, sister && wife anyone could have ever wished for. She was everything to me, my heart my soul, my every breathe. When i was with her it was as if all my worries had just floated away.
People may say that soldiers, or fire fighters are their heros, but the real heros in life are the closest people in your life. My hero was my Mom, or "Mama Smurf" as we had all called her.
Mom, you were the best thing that ever happened to me. There isnt a day that goes by that im not thinking about you, and missing you so so much. i love you so much. I would do anything to be able to live the rest of my life with you by my side. Without you, im lost. i love you so much. Remember how much i love you. And that love will never stop, it only grows, every second. You are the best and always have been.
Your Baby Smurfie,

Dear Teddy, Margarita, Ginger, Brandyn,
Although I never had a personal relationship with your mother, it was easy to observe the bond of love that she shared with each of you. May your memories bring you comfort. Remember her unselfishness, her patience, her strength, and her courage. You are her legacy, so as you grieve and ponder her loss, remember that she is closer to you now than ever before. My deepest condolences are with you at this difficult time.
To Guy and Diane,
Our thoughts are with you and your families at this time. There is no greater loss than the one you are experiencing. May your memories of Ann Marie comfort you both. Sincerely, Alan and Nancy

She was known as Ann Marie Robida, Mom, daughter, Wife, Sister, Auntie, and many more including my favorites Mama Smurf, and Smurfie. She was truly a wonderful person, I could have never asked for a better mother. She unfortunately was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on Easter of 2007. She fought with everything she had, until her very last breath.
Everyone she ever came in contact with loved her, including her doctors, nurses and all the kids she drove on the bus. We all loved her so much and we hope she has found peace in heaven, where she has promised to save us a spot next to her.
Her memory will always be here with us…..

I would like to take the time to thank all of our family and friends for all of their support and prayers. It helped Ann Marie, my family, and I be stronger knowing she had so many people that cared for her, but sometimes God has other plans for us and as for Ann Marie, his will has been done.
Ann Marie:
The best person I have ever met in my life: The greatest wife – mother – friend. She was the most unselfish person I know. She always cared about others, even through her hardest times.
She loved life:
She intensely fought her battle with leukemia. She fought to be there for me-our children-and our friends. Even though she is gone, she will always be a part of all of us through our journey in life until we all meet together forever once again one day.

Dear Diane, Harry and all of Ann Marie's family,
I have no words to express my feelings for your great loss, deepest sympathy doesn't come close to what I want to say. Instead, I have lovely memories of Ann Marie that I will hold onto forever. I first met Ann Marie when she was just a young child, just four years old. Her radiant smile, loving ways, skip to her walk and occasional tug of the hand changed my life in so many ways. For years, I saw the world through her eyes and her reactions, not just my own. To be honest, it was the first time I experienced the love of a mother and daughter and the love of a child. Over the years, Ann Marie's love and acceptance of others rubbed off on me and helped shape my own love for my son. She even helped me redefine my love for my friends, my sisters, my family, especially my mother. Thank you Ann Marie and thank you Diane and Harry for sharing your love with me all these years. I know Ann Marie's children will pass her special love to all they meet.
With all my love,

My deepest sympathies go out to you at this time and you are in my prayers. Margarita and I grew up together as classmates and were good friends, unfortunately we lost touch until recently because I changed schools and moved out of East Haddam in high school. Dear Family,
We have been friends of Diane and Harry since moving to Rocky Hill 3 years ago. Through them, we have come to know Ann Marie, you and the difficult time you all have been going through over the past few years. We have prayed as hard as we could for Ann Marie to recover from her illness and for all of you to remain strong and bonded in your love. Although Ann Marie's journey here has ended, a new one has begun for her elsewhere...One where there no pain or suffering, only peace and love. Your continuing journey here will keep her memory alive and her being forever within your hearts. G-d bless all of you. May you find comfort in knowing that we share in your sorrow and will pray for the strength you will all need to move forward. To Diane and Harry....we will be here for you whenever you need us...We love you very much.
With Deepest Sympathy,
