I lost a child before birth and loved this baby just as much as any time in his life as it might have been. However, the loss of a child you have held, bathed, dressed, fed, disciplined, kissed, loved, over whom you have prayed and hoped, and for whom you would have given your own life, is unimaginable. I grieve with you and rejoice in the time with which Ann Marie blessed your life. God gives us His greatest gift in our children. On this Mother's Day I am blessed by the friendship of Ann Marie's Mom Diane. In Jesus'/Yeshua's Name!

Dear Sweet Missed Daughter,
I love you and thank you for all the love you gave Dad & Me...and the courage you showed during your medical battle...Yesterday I had a minor medical procedure. When it began, the anesteiologist sp? put in an IV port-I began to cry. I though of all the invasions of your body you underwent. I remember your courage. I tried to be like you, and was ashamed for my fears... We are missing you everyday, and simultaneously envisioning you well and happy...and right here with all of us. Love, Mom & Dad

It is Thanksgiving Day, and I know you were with all of us giving your blessings to each moment. In Bloomfield your Zoser and family enjoyed the traditional Hazel gathering. A. brought his new son, A.H.H. Junior...perhaps reincarnated with some of the wonderful spirit within you. Like his Dad, he is charming us...even in his contented sleep. Z. is very happy with his siblings, and he loves his school. Going to church is now one of his favorite activities. He prayers several times a day at St. Augustine's where he studies. Z. remains the beautiful individual who captured all our hearts. We love you and miss you very much. Mom,
last sunday i was at middlesex hospital getting surgery as you already know and i was thinking about you<3 :) the whole time i went through tests i knew i could stay strong and thought back to all that you had went through with the testing and i knew everything would go okay, becuase i had you, my guardian angel there by my side the whole time, making sure your baby smurf was okayy :) Thank you <3

Dearest Ann Marie,
Yesterday was Easter, and I went to church here on earth for you...I remembered that you wanted to find a spiritual home for you and your family to worship together. The themes spoken and visualized connected to our lives and your ascent into a higher world. Friends and members of the church community had worked together these past weeks making paper cranes. I remember that we discussed this beautiful story of the Japanese girl who was in the hospital, suffering from illness brought on by the poisionous bombing of Hiroshima. Each bird represents an act of love, a plea for peace, and the faith that by working together we can raise the level of our lives, and the lives of people around the world, to a higher... violence-free plane. Strong daughter, one of your strenghths was your determination to do only the right thing to safeguard the lives of the children you loved at home, and those whom you met and cherished outside of your immediate family. My heart tells me you

It was a cold, dark rainy evening
The familiar road home from Mansfield to Rocky Hill turned into a strange series of hills and corners
No businesses. No lights.
Then a spotlight shone on two cars
Parked in front of an old New England
church hall.
Two teens were carrying in packages
Perhaps in preparation for Morning Services.
"...lost... Can you direct me...?"
"I have nothing else to do...",
came an unexpected 3rd voice.
"Follow me and I will lead you there...to Route 2."
Across dark, winding hills and valleys, the Woman in her Strong, Shiney Black Carriage spread her
Wings and led me to safety.
There was no opportunity to talk, just a gesture of Prayerful Thanks and a Heavenly Smile in Return...
Was that you Ann Marie, leading your Mom safely home?
"That was Ann Marie!" Poppa Harry
proclaimed assuredly.

My Hero.My Mom. Ann Marie Robida? She was and still is my everything. She was the best mother, daughter, aunt, sister && wife anyone could have ever wished for. She was everything to me, my heart my soul, my every breathe. When i was with her it was as if all my worries had just floated away.
People may say that soldiers, or fire fighters are their heros, but the real heros in life are the closest people in your life. My hero was my Mom, or "Mama Smurf" as we had all called her.
Mom, you were the best thing that ever happened to me. There isnt a day that goes by that im not thinking about you, and missing you so so much. i love you so much. I would do anything to be able to live the rest of my life with you by my side. Without you, im lost. i love you so much. Remember how much i love you. She was known as Ann Marie Robida, Mom, daughter, Wife, Sister, Auntie, and many more including my favorites Mama Smurf, and Smurfie. She was truly a wonderful person, I could have never asked for a better mother. She unfortunately was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on Easter of 2007. She fought with everything she had, until her very last breath.
Everyone she ever came in contact with loved her, including her doctors, nurses and all the kids she drove on the bus. We all loved her so much and we hope she has found peace in heaven, where she has promised to save us a spot next to her.
Her memory will always be here with us…..

I would like to take the time to thank all of our family and friends for all of their support and prayers. It helped Ann Marie, my family, and I be stronger knowing she had so many people that cared for her, but sometimes God has other plans for us and as for Ann Marie, his will has been done.

The best person I have ever met in my life: The greatest wife – mother – friend. She was the most unselfish person I know. She always cared about others, even through her hardest times.

Dear Diane, Harry and all of Ann Marie's family,
I have no words to express my feelings for your great loss, deepest sympathy doesn't come close to what I want to say. Instead, I have lovely memories of Ann Marie that I will hold onto forever. I first met Ann Marie when she was just a young child, just four years old. Her radiant smile, loving ways, skip to her walk and occasional tug of the hand changed my life in so many ways. For years, I saw the world through her eyes and her reactions, not just my own. To be honest, it was the first time I experienced the love of a mother and daughter and the love of a child. Over the years, Ann Marie's love and acceptance of others rubbed off on me and helped shape my own love for my son.
