VAUX, Barbara L.
Barbara L. Vaux, 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday (February 21, 2012) at Atria Greenridge Place, Rocky Hill. She was born in Swampscott, MA on September 22, 1934 to the late Clarence and Hazel (Hunt) Vaux. She was a proud graduate of UCONN and prior to her retirement, an employee of the State of Connecticut Department of Income. She is survived by her children: Mark Curtin and his wife Janice of South Glastonbury; Laurie Carney and her husband Steven of Lyman, NH; Gael Curtin of Rocky Hill; and Paul Curtin and his wife Migdalia of Spring Hill, FL. She loved and was very proud of her seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Peter. The family expresses their sincere appreciation for the compassionate care given their mother by the staff at Atria, Right at Home along with the hospice staff at VNA Healthcare.
A Memorial Service will be held at The Congregational Church in South Glastonbury, 949 Main St, South Glastonbury, CT on Saturday February 25 at 11 a.m., with a reception to follow at the church. Her ashes will be scattered at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association or American Lung Association. I just happened to run across this online. So very sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. I hope that you and your sister and brothers are doing well. I remember your mom from when we were children. My thoughts are with you.
