Benjamin Gregory Obituary
Benjamin H. Gregory, 83, of Westbrook died on January 28, 2014 at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown. Ben was born in Fort Lewis, WA, son of the late Benjamin & Hilda (Updenkelter) Gregory. He was raised in Washington State, was a proud 20 year veteran of the U.S. Air force. He settled in Connecticut in 1968 and went on to work as a logistics analyst for Electric Boat Company in Groton for 23 years. He is survived by his children; Jill LaMark of Westbrook, Lynn Mehrtens of Old Saybrook, Kim Gregory of Westbrook, Courtney Gregory of Naples, FL, Gigi Schneider of Old Saybrook and Konrad Gregory of Maine, nine grandchildren, his brother Stanley Gregory of WA, Patrick Gregory of Long Island, NY, Gwen Anderson & Maxine Gregory both of WA. In addition to his parents Ben is predeceased by his brother Rodney and sisters Suzanne Gregory and Joy Child. Visitation will be on Saturday, Feb.1st at Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street, Centerbrook from 1-3pm. A prayer service will be held at 3PM, followed by the rendering of full military honors. Interment will be privately held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ben's name to a Veterans Organization of the donor's choice.
