Catherine D'Esopo Obituary

Catherine Elizabeth D'Esopo, 96, is resting peacefully with her mother, Mary; father, Salvatore; sister, Philomena; brothers, Salvatore, John, and Bill. All of her nieces and nephews are saddened by her parting. Her optimistic and independent attitude was an inspiration to us all. Catherine worked as a secretary at Hartford National Fire and Shelby Mutual Insurance Companies for a total of 45 years. She enjoyed volunteering and traveling with the girls from West Hartford Senior Center. She loved West Hartford where she resided since 1928. We will miss you always Aunt Catherine! A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the Church of St. Peter Claver, 47 Pleasant St. in West Hartford, where Catherine was a devoted parishioner for many years. Interment will immediately follow at Mount St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield. For directions, or to leave a message of remembrance, please visit www.BaileyCares.com.

My Aunt Anne was married to Bill for many years until their passing. I have fond memories of gatherings at their home and Catherine would be there. I am so sorry for your loss.
