I worked with Charlie at Connecticut Printers and can attest to his many attributes. He was a good friend and our group at the time especially enjoyed the lunch outings. His character was indeed unique.

Condolences to the Brainard family. Charlie will truly be missed.
I learned something's about him that I never knew. What a legacy!
I used to call him Charlie Gump for the way he made connections with people. For him it was at most 2 degrees of separation. We were skiing some where in Vermont and as we got on the shuttle bus he sees my C9 logo on my jacket and tells me that's a friend of his. 30 seconds later he's yelling across the parking lot and it's the owner of the C9 company. Never a dull moment when Charlie Brainard was around. A life well lived.
