SOHN, Dr. Choong S., MD. Dr. Choong S. Sohn, MD., 64 of Nob Hill Rd., Cheshire, died Tuesday, (August 22, 2006) at the Hartford Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Woochung Kahng Sohn. Born in Seoul, Korea on February 11, 1942, the son of the late Dong H. and Ock Sim Kim Sohn. He served in the Vietnam War for the Korean Army as a Medic. Dr. Sohn had practices in both Bradley Memorial Hospital, Southington and MidState Medical Center, Meriden for 30 years, retiring in May of 2006. He was a past member of the Southington Rotary Club for many years. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Clara Rehor and her husband Jakub of W. Harrison, NY and Livia Sohn and her husband Geoff Nuttall of San Francisco, CA; three grandsons, Thomas, William and James Rehor; two brothers, Joon S. Sohn of Queens, NY and Hee S. Sohn of Korea; three sisters, Duck S. Choi and Ihn S. Chung, both of Staten Island, NY and Hae S. Chang of Korea. The funeral will be held on Thursday, 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 581 Meriden Ave., Southington. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. My thoughts are with the family of Dr. Sohn. He was a caring doctor who we came to admire greatly over 15 years. His wisdom and humor will be greatly missed by my family and the many others he helped. We are deeply sorry for your loss.
