CUSANO, Christine (Piacente)
Christine (Piacente) Cusano, 83, of West Hartford, beloved wife of Nicola "Nick" Cusano for 51 years, passed away peacefully at home on Friday (April 5, 2013). She was born in Sepino, province of Campobasso, Italy on Oct. 19, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Antonio and Carmela (Peluso) Piacente. Christine enjoyed cooking and visiting relatives. She will be dearly missed by her family. In addition to her husband Nick, Christine is survived by her son, Frank Cusano; her daughter, Mary Babin; her brothers, Peter Piacente and his wife Diane of West Hartford and John Piacente and his wife Donna of Old Saybrook; her sister, Linda Nuhn of Cromwell; her brother-in-law, Luigi Cusano and his daughter Mary Joyce Cusano of Rocky Hill; four grandchildren, Melissa Babin of Washington, DC, Nicholas Cusano, Alexander Cusano and Gabrielle Cusano; six nieces and two nephews.
Funeral services will leave Wednesday (April 10) at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the Church of St. Helena, 30 Echo Lane, West Hartford. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations in Christine's memory may be made to the Mt. Carmel/St. Cristina Society, 30 Olde Roberts Street, East Hartford, CT 06108. Nick, Frankie and Mary. We're so very sorry for your loss. Christine was a wonderful, kind person. I remember when ever I saw her she was a lovely soft spoken individual. She will be missed by many people. May your memories of her help you get through this very difficult time. Our prayers and thoughts are with you all.

Nick, Mary and Frank, I am so sad to read of Christines passing. She was a wonderful and thoughtful woman.I will never forget the days when she would come over and talk for hours and her always making sauce.May she rest in peace now.
