Chris was a great guy. Great sense of humor. Not afraid to get in your face when needed, either.
Back in high school, I was running one of those old classroom slide shows -- the kind where a record was playing at the same time. The record would have these sounds on them, this kind of "booping" sound, to indicate when the slide needed to be changed.
A few minutes into the show, the slides were all screwed up. Turns out Chris was sitting there going "boop." Since he sounded just like the record -- I was changing the slides. I finally saw him do it -- and felt like the biggest idiot in the world. He saw me see him -- and cracked a huge smile. I couldn't help but laughing, either -- because it was truly funny -- and perfectly executed.
RIP, my man.

I grew up in the Secret Lake area and remember Chris. He was 4 years older than me. I recall one Halloween - I must have been 5 or 6, and was sick enough that I had to stay home. Chris came to the door, trick-or-treating, and saw me on the couch. Mom told him that I was too sick to come out that night. About a half an hour later he returned with several friends and they shared their candy with me.
