Darcy Ankerman Obituary

Darcy Evelyn (Wilson) Ankerman, 75, of Windsor, CT, and previously a longtime resident of West Hartford, CT, beloved wife of 53 years to William L. Ankerman, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, and went home to be with her Lord Jesus, after a long and courageous battle with congestive heart failure, fighting to the end, with her tenacious and feisty spirit. She was born on December 19, 1947, in Springfield, MA, daughter to Everett H. and Esther M. (Drake) Wilson.

In addition to her husband, Darcy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Justin L. and Chantelle D. Ankerman, and their children, Griffyn L. and Violetta B. Ankerman, all of Windsor; her daughter and son-in-law, Amanda A. and David M. Miller, and their children, Adam D., Caroline M., and Joseph M. Miller, all of Oakton, VA.

A Memorial Service for Darcy will be celebrated on Saturday, January 21, 2023, beginning at 2 p.m. at Farmington Avenue Baptist Church, 155 Mountain Rd., West Hartford, with a time of visitation for family and friends to gather prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. at the church. Burial will be held at a later date in Palisado Cemetery, Windsor. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sarah Whitman Hooker Chapter, NSDAR, P.O. Box 786, Farmington, CT 06034.
