Darius C. Tylki

1962 - 2018

Darius C. Tylki, 55, of Rocky Hill, husband of Elizabeth (McGarvey) Tylki, passed away July 9, 2018 at home after a short illness. Darius was born September 17, 1962 in Lodz, Poland, son of Bogumil and Ludwika (Bubas) Tylki. His family moved to Hartford when Darius was young. He earned a Bachelor's Degree from Central Connecticut State University. Darius was very proud of two things, being an American and being a father. His life revolved around his kids and their accomplishments. He loved to watch and video tape them playing their sporting events. Most knew Darius as a quiet guy, until it came time to watch his children play. He also enjoyed his time riding his Harley. He was presently involved with Cyber-Security with The Hartford Insurance Group. Along with his wife Liz and his parents, Darius will be remembered by his children, Daniele McGarvey Tylki, Max McGarvey Tylki and Emily McGarvey Tylki all of Boston; his Aunt Barbara Bubas; sister-in-law Mary Wisniowski and her husband Wes; brother-in-law John McGarvey; nieces and nephews, Jason McGarvey Wisniowski, Alexis McGarvey Wisniowski, Charlie, Bryce and Conner Adams; cousins Agnes Targonski with her husband Christopher and their children, Margaret Mazur with her husband Andrew and their children; and his constant companion, Howard the Dog, who will miss Darius greatly. Darius was predeceased by his mother and father-in-law, Edward and Elizabeth (Dunn) McGarvey; sister-in-law Kelly McGarvey Adams; brother-in-law Danny McGarvey; and his uncle John Bubas. Friends and relatives may call on the family Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 4-7pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd. Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Darius' life will be Friday, July 13th at 9:30am in The Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St., Wethersfield. All attendees are asked to go directly to church. Interment will follow the Mass in Cedar Hill Cemetery, 453 Fairfield Ave., Hartford.
