David W. Jefferson Jr.

David W Jefferson Jr, aka "Bill" or "Heff", 61, of Glastonbury, CT passed away on January 13, 2024 after a brief illness. Bill was a lifelong resident of Glastonbury, CT, graduating from GHS in 1980. He spent his career in the paving business working his way up through the ranks, ultimately co-owning both C&D and R&J Paving. Bill continued to share his knowledge, time, and expertise in "semi-retirement" working with friends at Constantine Paving. When Bill wasn't working, he enjoyed spending time in Vermont, Martha's Vineyard, or just driving around town. In addition, he was an avid equipment auction enthusiast, enjoyed watching NASCAR, was a dedicated Patriots fan and a member of the Matson Hill Club. Bill was an extremely loyal person with a big heart, who was always willing to help his wide circle of family and friends. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and great uncle. Bill will be reunited with his beloved father, David Jefferson, and survived in death by his mother Nancy Jefferson, sister Linda Jefferson, nieces and nephews Sara Jefferson (Asa Preli), Nick Jefferson (Dodie Melcher), and a great nephew Ozzy Jefferson. A gathering of friends and family will be held at Mulryan Funeral Home in Glastonbury, CT, Friday, January 19, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. There will be a private burial at a future date. We pray for peace for those left behind as they navigate through this difficult time with love and grace. Bill will remain in our hearts forever and will be greatly missed.
