David Roberts Obituary
David A. Roberts, 47, of West Hartford, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on October 17, 2014. He was born on June 28, 1967 in New York City, the son of Alfred and Henrietta Roberts. On June 27, 1998, he married the love of his life, Ada Rodriguez, He was deeply loved by his two sons, Christopher and Nicholas and his faithful dog Emerson. He graduated from Fordham University and was the owner of his advertising agency, Maz Media, He is survived by his sisters Jane and Gina, mother in law, Geraldine Rodriguez, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends who encircled him with care through his journey with cancer. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 11 am at Holy Family Passionist Retreat Center in West Hartford, Connecticut. A funeral mass and Christian burial will be held at Our Lady of the Isle Church on Shelter Island, New York on October 25, 2014. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made for his family at www.davidrobertsfamilyfund.com.

I am so sorry to hear of Dave's passing. What a great guy. I'll never forget the random Wed. that he called me to ask for my help taking care of some of his clients from that day on because he had terminal cancer. I was shocked beyond words. I had no idea how to react and said some things that were unrealistic that I wish I could take back though I'm sure he forgives me. I had blind hope that this day would never come for you all. I think of him often and will continue to have Dave, Ada and the boys in my prayers always. Bless you guys. I'm so sorry. Your strength and positivity should serve as a model for all of us to live by.

I am so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful man. Although I have kept in touch with Gina and Janie throughout David's journey, I wanted you to know that you and your boys have always been on my mind. It is never easy to lose someone you love. From experience, I can only tell you that it does not get easier, but it does get different. Each passing day will fill you with comfort from the memories you have. I will continue to keep you and the boys in my prayers. David is now your personal family angel. Let his light shine over you now and always. Rest in peace in God's hands David.....
