Debra Lynn Lewis

1958 - 2019

Debra Lynn Lewis, 60, of Stafford Springs passed away May 9, 2019 surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Debbie was born December 2, 1958 in Manchester to Dolores Ogren Lewis and the late Joseph P. Lewis. Debbie is survived by her son Andrew Hlobik of Stafford Springs and daughter Julia Hlobik of Tolland. Debbie also leaves her brother Donald Lewis, wife Jane and their children Albert and Sarah; her sister Cynthia Szalontai, husband Curt, their daughter Jennifer (Lewis) Stevens, husband Zachary and daughter Everly. She also leaves several uncles, aunts and cousins along with her beloved dogs Maggie Mae and Cocoa Bean. Debbie graduated from Rockville High School, class of 1976. She was a master quilter and produced beautiful quilts for her family and friends. Her homemade fudge was delicious and enjoyed by all. She was also an avid Boston Red Sox and Dallas Cowboys fan.There will be a memorial service on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 10:00 a.m., Trinity Lutheran Church, 20 Meadowlark Road, Vernon. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Debra's name to the American Cancer Society.
