Diane B. Carrier, 68, of Farmington, CT, passed away Saturday, October 27th at John Dempsey Hospital surrounded by family after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on July 25th, 1950 in St. Honore de Shenley, Beauce, Province Quebec, Canada, daughter of Gerard Buteau and Madeleine Lapointe. Diane loved her home and was very proud of her landscaping and surrounding property. She enjoyed beautiful flowers, shopping and spending time with her family and was an animal lover. Diane leaves behind her son Steve Carrier and his wife Kim, her daughter Danielle DePietro and her husband Steven, her four granddaughters: Katie Norris and her husband Jesse, Megan Gibbs and her husband Michael, Sarah Carrier and Aimee Carrier, her three grandsons: Matthew DePietro, Steven Carrier and Christopher Carrier, her two great-grandsons, William and Charlie Norris, her ex-husband Rejean Carrier, her sisters: Nicole Gilbert, Lina Nadeau and her husband Roland, Francine Carrier and her husband Noel, Lousiette Lacasse and her husband Fabien, her brother Andre Buteau, she also leaves behind her canine companion Sammy. Diane was predeceased by her mother Madeleine Lapointe, her father Gerard Buteau, brother-in-law Phillipe Gilbert and her beloved dog Lucky.Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt. 4, Unionville on Sunday (Nov. 4) from 2:00-6:00pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Monday (Nov. 5) at 11:00am in St. Gregory the Great Church, 235 Maltby St., Bristol. All are kindly asked to meet directly at church.
