Domenico Rosa

1947 - 2018

Domenico Rosa, 71, of West Hartford, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Hartford Hospital. Born April 19, 1947 in L'Aquila, Italy, son of the late Assunta and Emidio Rosa, he grew up in Everett MA. Domenico completed his undergraduate degree at Tufts University and received a Doctorate in Mathematics from McMaster University in Canada. He was a Professor of Mathematics at Post University for thirty years. Domenico was passionate about history, committed to mathematics education and proud of his Italian heritage. Domenico is survived by his wife Julia Rosa, his brother Eugene Rosa of Everett MA, his daughter Katherine Rosa of Everett MA, his son Robert Rosa and wife Vatana Rosa of Glastonbury CT, and three grandchildren. His devotion to family and friends was unconditional. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Domenico's calling hours at the Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, 136 S. Main Street, West Hartford, Monday November 12, from 5-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 13, at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 872 Farmington Ave, West Hartford followed by interment at Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford.
