Dear Sue, I am so sorry to hear about Ed's passing. I remember Ed from Aetna, and when I moved in here he was always so helpful! I will miss him. Let's get together soon; perhaps we can go for a walk together!

To All Our Dear Friends,
I can't tell you what your outpouring of love, memories and sympathy has meant to me. Eddie was fortunate to have good friends but he would be surprised at just how many folks have remembered him fondly. My Eddie will be missed! Love to all, Susan

Dear Sue, Carl and Kurt - At a moment like this there are no words to ease your pain, but please be assured that we feel your great loss deeply. Eddie was a childhood friend for over 60 years. We spent many many happy hours together. Loved to hear Don and Eddie talk about their childhood "pranks", the times spent in the "shack" and cabin, Eddie driving to Union College to deliver the fraternity mascot that Don had lost while at home on break, etc. etc. etc.I especially loved it when now and then Eddie and Don would leaf through the album of cartoons that they had drawn depicting their early years. We spent a lot of time together going to our monthly lunches. Eddie and Don spent their adult years exchanging books, chopping down and splitting trees. Oh what memories!
Eddie left you with a wonderful legacy - your boys. I know that they are and will continue to be of great comfort to you. Don and I hope that you know that we will always be there for you whenever you need us.
In this time of sorrow, remember the good times and the love you had for each other, and it will sustain you.
Love Inara and Don

I am so happy I got to talk to grandpa on the phone before he passed. He taught me so much as a child and I am so glad he got to meet his great grandson. I will miss him so much. Grandma Sue, I love you and I hope to see you very soon.
Love,
Taylor (Grandchild)

To the Fenton Family...I worked with Ed at Aetna. Ed always had time to help me understand an issue, edit a letter or just make me laugh. I treasure my memories of a caring and intelligent man. I am very sorry for your loss and hope you find comfort in your memories of a good man.

Sue,
On behalf of the staff and board of Godfrey Library, we are so sorry for your loss. I know that Ed had been sick for a while, but we had no idea how serious his illness might be. If there is anything we might do to help, please let us know.

Desr Sue and the"boys"There are are a few people I remember in my 91 years but RL Fenton takes up a specia place in my galaxy of friends. I will always remember him in a window seat at the Grist Mill enjoying his liver and bacon along with my wife and when he was a bad boy also a sip of Wild Turkey. We would offer a prayer but we know he wouldn't be listening!!Will se you sometime. EJ and Jane

A son could not ask for a better Dad, and I feel blessed and appreciative beyond words expressed here for everything that my Dad has done for me and my family. There are and will remain nothing but the fondest of memories of him for the remainder of my days. I would be remiss if I didn't mention my Mom, because for me parents are an intertwind pair, and I am proud of the love my parents had for each other, through sickness and health, good times and bad. The image of my Dad's 75th surprise birthday party happily comes to mind this morning...my Mom lovingly put together a big event of my Dad's oldest friends at my folks' place in Middletown, CT, and it was beautiful to see what a great day my Dad had, how appreciative he was to my Mom for making the effort to put the whole thing together, and to be able to witness the love my parents had/have for each other. Thanks Dad and Mom for all that you've done for me, our family, and everyone whose lives you've touched.
Love,
Carl
