I was so sorry to hear the news of your Dad's passing. He was a great teacher who taught with devotion, humility and warmth and always made us laugh. I feel fortunate to have had him for a teacher. Peace and strength to you and your family.

I would like to extend my sympathies and prayers to the Nyerick family. I am sorry to hear of your loss, because your loss is mine as well. I have known Mr. Nyerick almost all of my life. Partly because of my Grandparents, who knew the Nyerick’s in Forestville and from the years in the Polka Community but mainly because I’ve known his son Scott almost all of my life. Scott and I met in church when we were either 5 or 6. We’re both 42, so for over 35 years I’ve known the Nyerick family. To know that family is to know the Patriarch Edward. A man of character, wit and a true “Gentleman”. That’s how I knew him, that’s how I’ll remember him. I knew Mr. Nyerick as “Mr. Nyerick”. That’s the only way I could address him. He had that distinct aire about him that commanded respect. That’s probably why he was a teacher, because that persona demanded and received that respect. That’s called character. I actually had him as a teacher for one year growing up. It seems a bit odd that someone who; although not in my life on a daily basis can and did influence mine so much from all those years ago. I guess that’s the main trait of being a good teacher…character.
Scott, I am so sorry for you loss and your family's loss. If there’s anything I can do, please let me know.
Respectfully yours,
Jackie Nyerick
