Bruce, Charlie, Mark, Marsha and Mrs. Lassman, I just heard today from my sister about Ed. He always insisted we called him Ed. I'll forever remember him watching the news, grinnin' and jokin' away with the cigar in the corner of his mouth. Had some good times with you guys growing up and your dad(or husband) had a positive affect on me. His devotion, drive sense of humor and his ability to process all the information available were impressive, to say the least, but he helped also to raise the goals of those around him. His positive way of looking at life was a motivator for many. I am proud to have been a friend of Ed Lassman and offer my most sincere and heartfelt sympathies. I wish I were closer to the area to have visited, but alas... he is a great man. Kent Carney (Art)

To the Lassman Family - I am very sorry to hear of Ed's passing. I met Ed as a high school student while growing up in South Windsor and he made an unforgettable impression upon me at the time. Many years later as an employee of White Oak Corporation, I got the chance to work with Ed on several legal matters and we became good friends despite our age difference. He taught me a great deal about the legal system and I will miss his advice and his wonderful sense of humor.

He always called me,"James Howard" and I replied,"Edwin Arthur". He was the epitomy of what a "Town Attorney" should be from before the Town became a Council-Manager government which he helped create. His advice was always practical and down to earth. He was blessed with intelligence and a sense of humor. I will always treasure my memories of Edwin Arthur Lassman.

To all the members of the Lassman Family: I had the good fortune and privilege to know and work with Ed. I greatly admired his legal skill and acumen, but even more, I admired his knack for bringing a smile to everyone's face even in the midst of a difficult negotiation. Ed was a fine gentleman, a model attorney, a highly respected individual, and a truly wonderful man. I am grateful for the opportunity that I had to know Ed and to be in his company. My sincere condolences to all his family. Tom Gugliotti

I worked as a bookkeeper for Mr. Lassman from 1983 to 1985. I remember his cigars, his songs and his unique quotes. His incredible ability to make everyone laugh was my best memory. He was someone who was hard to forget. My condolences to his family at his difficult time.
