Eileen Paulick Obituary

Eileen L. Paulick (Eileen) passed away peacefully at her home after a brief illness on May 21, 2021. Born on August 25, 1923 to Augusta (Meissner) and Edward J. Lynch, Eileen was raised in Springfield, MA with her sister, Marcella (Marcy) Heroux. She met her lifelong sweetheart and soulmate Joseph E. Paulick Jr. (Joe) when they attended junior high school. They graduated from Springfield Technical High School in 1941. While Joe served in the Merchant Marines and later the Navy during WWII, she continued her studies at the American College of Radiology where she graduated in 1947 as an x-ray technician, starting a career that spanned over 50 years. Eileen and Joe married in 1947. Shortly thereafter, they moved to NY where Joe attended Syracuse University under the GI Bill. Following Joe's graduation in 1951, they moved to CT where they raised their family of four boys, living primarily in Old Saybrook, CT. Our dearest Eileen had without question, a sweet and generous disposition. Ever resilient in the face of hardship and illness, she maintained a positive attitude and inspiring outlook. She always found the best in people, had a smile for everyone and brought joy to those around her. She left a legacy of love and will be long remembered. Eileen is survived by her sons and daughters in law: Joseph E. Paulick III and Ann Saller of Venice, FL, Edward A. and Gayle (Voos) Paulick of Cheshire, CT and William W. and Kimberly Garvey Paulick of Mountain View, CA. She also leaves seven grandchildren: Kristin (Paulick) Schoenstein, Kaye (Paulick) Dealy, John Paulick, Spencer Paulick, Dr. Peyton Paulick Kochel, Kelley Paulick Casino and Avery Paulick along with nine great grandchildren: Hadley, Ella and Emery Schoenstein, Noa and Everett Dealy, Sloane and Landon Kochel, and Kennedy and Elliot Casino. She was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Joe, their son, John Roger Paulick and her sister, Marcy Heroux. For the last 2 1/2 years, Eileen lived at Mulberry Gardens in Plantsville, CT, a home that made her feel loved and that she truly enjoyed. The family wishes to thank the staff for the kind care they provided to her. The family welcomes you to join them for a Memorial Mass at St. John's Church, 161 Main St. in Old Saybrook, CT at 11 AM on July 9, 2021 followed by reception from 1:00 to 4:30 PM at the Vicki G.
