Elias Kaplan Obituary

KAPLAN, Elias H. Elias H. Kaplan, age 86, of Fairfield, died Friday, (February 16, 2007) in his residence. Mr. Kaplan was born in New York, NY, a son of the late Solomon and Clara (Einstone) Kaplan, and was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served during World War II as as Tech Sergeant. Mr. Kaplan was a Past President of the Honorable Menschen at the Jewish Community Center, a dedicated volunteer at The Jewish Home for the Elderly in Fairfield, and was very well loved by all that he touched. Mr. Kaplan was predeceased by his loving wife, Betty Schuler Kaplan in 1995, and is survived by his devoted daughter, Michelle Kaplan of Fairfield, his cherished brother, Ephram Kaplan of Chicago, IL, and by his adored grandchildren, Nicole, Danielle, and Eric, great grandchildren, Zachary and Autumn, and by his nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on TODAY at 1 p.m. from The Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home, 88 Beach Road in Fairfield, with interment following at Congregation Beth El Cemetery on Reid St. in Fairfield. Shiva will be observed at the Kaplan residence in Fairfield. Memorial contributions may be made to VNS Hospice or to The Jewish National Fund Trees for Israel.
