Eric Avitabile Obituary
Eric James Avitabile (young & able) 33, of Glastonbury, died Thursday September 24, 2015. He was born May 18, 1982 in Hartford, and had been a life-long resident of Glastonbury and owner of A&A Landscaping. Eric was an avid reader and traveler, especially enjoying the ocean, his favorites were the beaches of FL, SC, & RI with his family and friends. Eric was a member of the French Social Circle in East Hartford and played darts for the ECDA Dart Association where he was highly accomplished. He was a loving father to his 2 children, Gavin & Bree, a wonderful son to his parents Rowena Hornish and her husband Christopher of East Hartford, & his father Bruce Avitabile of Port St. Lucie, FL, a delight to his fiancée Samantha Guzman of Glastonbury, & a raucous-non conformist - Pirate with his 2 brothers Bryan & wife Sharon of Denver, & Adam of the Earth, always a generous and sweet brother to his sister Jessica & partner Shane Tatro of Lebanon, and respectful, attentive grandson to his grandparents, Dr. Stanton & Gloria Avitabile of Glastonbury and Donald and Kathy Bishop of East Hartford and many, aunts, uncles and cousins. Pirates & Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Tuesday Sept. 29 from 4:00 to 6:00pm. A memorial service will follow at 6:00pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the JDRF, 20 Batterson Park Rd. Farmington, CT. 06032. For online condolences please visit www.mulryanfh.com.

We have known each other 12 years already. We were introduced through our beloved Ryan Michael and instantly I became family with you Sam and the kids. You were more than a friend to me you were my brother. I wish you could have seen yourself the way all the people whose lives you touched see you as the fun, loving, intelligent young man that we all loved. That laugh of yours that infectious laugh instantly made those around you happy. That impish mischievous Chesire cat grin that is in every photo of you. That quick Witt you had about you. That huge heart that would do anything for anyone if possible. Luckily for the universe you saw fit to have two amazing children who are the best of every quality you had so that your beautiful spirit will go on for the world to marvel at. I cannot wait to see them grow up and be the amazing people they are destined to become and that will be due to the loving partner and father that you were. I will continue to look after Sam, Bree,Gavin and Jalen. When you get to heaven tell Ryan I said not to dress you in a boa and sprinkle you with too much glitter. Although we both know he probably did just that. I love you my brother and will love and miss you to the depths of my heart.

I can picture him around 4, running around my back yard while Marla was babysitting him, and that cute little grin he had, and OMG, do you remember him and his brother, throwing hot dogs around at Papa Gino's in East Hartford, Ct. we were all cracking up,
