My big Brother... With that role, came an enormous sense of security, friendship, respect, and love. From as far back as I can remember up until the second this all happened you had always been the strong brother. While my shyness had me take a step back, you were always the one trying to nudge me forward. Whenever I was nervous about a situation, you were there to push fear aside and show me that if you could do it, so could I. You were always the one I would look to for an answer when I didn't have one. Always the one I would look to for the courage when mine was lacking. No matter how tall I was, you were always the person that I looked up to with so much respect. Just because you were you, my invincible brother with muscles like rocks.
As I see it, while we travel through life, we gradually build up a virtual wall that represents us. Every person that you encounter and affects you in some way, provides some type of contribution to that wall. Even if that person provides a negative contribution at first, eventually it will make your wall stronger. If anyone was to step back and take a good long look at my wall, they'd be able to see the unbelievable amount that you have contributed to it. I have so much to thank you for. You always seemed to be there there for me whenever I needed you.
Now, all I hope for is to see you some day down the road, give you a huge hug(be careful, I might squeeze a little too much), and reminisce about all the great times we’ve had together. I hope that you’re at peace now and you’re able to look over all of the people that loved you so much. That will definitely keep you busy for a long time because there were so many that cared for you.
I love you Eric… and I miss you so much.
