Eugene McMahon Obituary

McMAHON, Eugene Eugene McMahon, 66, of Weston, MA, died unexpectedly Tuesday, (November 8, 2005). Born in Winsted, September 30, 1939, he was the son of the late Eugene Francis and Ellen (Fox) McMahon. He leaves his wife, the former Karen Connolly, whom he married in 1964. He is also survived by his children and their spouses, Kathleen Bochman and her husband, Jeffrey, of Hingham; MA; Kristine Yanofsky and her husband, David, of Greenland, NH; Eugene McMahon, III, and his wife, Connie Flieger of Westborough and Brenden McMahon and his wife, Kimberly, of Lowell, MA. He was the loving grandfather of Sarah and Annie Yanofsky, Ben and Claire Bochman, Arthur, Elliott and Katherine McMahon. A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, November 12, at 11 a.m. at St. Julia Church, Weston, MA followed by interment in Linwood Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday from 3 - 7 p.m. at J. S. Waterman & Sons-Waring Home of Memorial Tribute, 592 Washington Street, Rt. 16, Wellesley. Donations in memory of Mr. McMahon may be made to CCFA Honor & Memorial Gifts, 386 Park Ave. South, 17th Floor, New York, NY 10016-8804 or to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445-7226; Attn: Contributions Services.

Bob was a close childhood friend and classmate of Gene; growing up together on Allen Street in Winsted.

Although Rose didn't know Gene personally, she has shared in many of Bob's memories over the years.
