ANDREWS, Florence "Sis" Hastings Florence "Sis" Hastings Andrews, 82, of Orlando, FL, formerly of Fallbrook, CA, and Suffield, CT, died peacefully on Monday, (October 30, 2006) in Orlando, FL, surrounded by her family. Born on May 10, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Richard C. and Lillian C. (Spencer) Hastings. Sis was a graduate of the Oxford School in West Hartford with the Class of 1942. She worked as a teller at the First National Bank of Suffield, and as a spotter at Bradley Field during World War II. She also worked as a dental assistant in Suffield and Boston in the family dental offices. Sis volunteered for the Motor Corps and the Red Cross during the war. She was always a hospital volunteer wherever she lived including Boston, Cape Cod, and Pembroke, MA, Orange, CA, and Fallbrook, CA; where she was involved with hospice, courier service, and "Circle of Hope" as Treasurer. Sis loved sports and animals and was taught to ride horses at the age of three. She went on to show both horses and dogs. She leaves two sons, Joseph Bennett Geyer Jr. and his wife Lisa of Monroe, WI, and Scott Spencer Andrews and his wife Melissa of Orlando, FL; a brother, Richard Cleveland Hastings of West Hartford; three grandchildren, Blaise and Ian Geyer and Daulton Andrews; a sister-in-law, Marlyn Broder of Suffield; and her ex-husband, but still a very special person in her heart, Henry B. Andrews Jr. She was predeceased by her brothers, Edward W. Broder Jr., and Spencer Hastings. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, (November 12, 2006) 1 p.m. at the Second Baptist Church, 100 North Main St. Suffield, CT. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Suffield, CT. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the San Diego Zoo Dev. Dept. P.O.
