NOSAL, Florence B. (Kosky)
Florence B. (Kosky) Nosal, 89, longtime resident of Glastonbury, beloved wife of 64 years to the late Carl J. Nosal passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Friday, June 14, 2013, at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Johanna (Szymasek) Kosky. Prior to her retirement, Florence worked for many years at the Quality Name Plate Company in Glastonbury and the Fuller Brush Company in Hartford. She enjoyed baking, Polish cooking, gardening, country music and spending time with her grandchildren. Florence will be fondly remembered by her loving family; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth J. & Ellen J. Nosal of East Hampton, Peter J. & Christine M. Nosal of Columbia; her daughter, Carolyn B. Bergen of Sandy Hook and her daughter-in-law Rosalind Dobrowolski and her husband Alan of East Hampton; eight grandchildren, Laura L. Beavers and her husband David, Janice A. Nosal, Michelle L. Nosal, Melissa M. Nosal, Alexander S. Bergen, Erin E. Nosal, Julie L. Zuder and her husband Sean, and Sarah Dobrowolski as well as her great granddaughter, Maisey. She also leaves her sister Beatrice Chaia and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Florence was predeceased by her son, Edmund C. Nosal, her son-in-law, Gordon C. Bergen, her four sisters, Bernice, Helen, Estelle and Cecelia, and her four brothers, Frank, Edward, Walter and William.
Funeral procession from the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave., Glastonbury will be Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Florence's life at 10 a.m. in St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St. Glastonbury. Interment will follow in the family plot at St. Augustine Cemetery, Hopewell Rd., Glastonbury. Florence's family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home, Tuesday, June 18 from 5-8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made in Florence's name to The Alzheimer's Association, Connecticut Chapter, 2075 Silas Deane, Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
