Frances GOODSON

GOODSON, Frances Frances (Perry) Goodson, 89, of Hartford, beloved wife of Emmit H. Goodson, died peacefully on Friday, (May 21, 2010) at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. She was born on June 22, 1920 in Valdosta, GA, daughter of the late George and Hannah (Marshall) Perry. Frances moved to Hartford in 1942 and in 1950 she was married to Emmit H. Goodson. She was an active member of Union Baptist Church, where she served as head of the usher board for many years. She worked for Sage Allen for many years before her retirement in 1985. A wonderfully loving, wife, aunt and friend she will be greatly missed by all. Besides her husband Emmit of over 59 years, she leaves her Aunt Annie Rogers of Valdosta, GA, several first cousins and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday (May 27, 2010) 12 p.m., at Union Baptist Church, 1921 Main St., Hartford, CT. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Her family will receive friends on Thursday, prior to the service from 11-12 p.m. at the church. Carmon Windsor Funeral Home has care of the arrangements.
