Francis Wallison Obituary
Francis Anthony Wallison, 49, of Elm Street in Winsted, died Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Hartford Hospital with his family by his side. He was born June 13, 1964 in Hartford, the beloved son of Maureen (Volovski) Wallison and the late Edward Lawrence Wallison and had lived in Canton most of his life. He was a member of the Canton Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the 1982 Class S State Soccer Championship Team. Francis had enjoyed tinkering with cars at the shop and spending time with family and friends. Besides his loving mother, he is survived by his two sisters, Susan Parke of Chimacum, WA and Doreen Mikan and her husband Philip of East Hartland; his nieces and nephew, Sarah Parke of Carlsbad, CA and Andrew and Marisa Mikan of East Hartland; his aunt and uncle, Paul and Nancy Volovski of Canton and his cousin, Dawn Volovski Gimblin of Sacramento, CA. Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton on Friday, April 25th from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM closing with a prayer service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Collinsville. Memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, P.O. Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202. To the Wallison & Volovski Families,Aunts ,Uncles, Nieces, Nephews,Cousins,And close friends of Fran Our sincere condolences to you all. Spent alot of quality time with him and four other friends.Jokingly called ourselves the Six Pac.Created alot of Chaos and sleepless nights for our parents for sure but we had each others backs enough to survive our youth a time we all thought we were invincible,Pushed the envelope so to speak,but I think trying to find our own identities or places in this ride we're all on.A far cry from the realities of how fragile life can be for all of us.Fran had this stance kinda leaning back listing either left or right that just fit his unique character always thought it looked cool never told him.He was Fran, Wally, Gator whatever the name Dujour was didn't really matter He was a Good friend , a Good man and we will
miss him alot and if it was possible to do it over again I know there are five of us that would say LET'S GO!!

Dear Wallison Family, I played soccer with Fran, and shared some time at CHS with him, I am truly sorry for your Loss, we can only Pray he is with the Lord right now, no pain, no sorrow, no worries, just waiting for the reunion in Heaven with all his friends and family. We were so sorry to hear the news about Fran's death. We have known Fran for years through my sister, Marge Lathrop. We will be forever grateful to Fran for all the assistance he gave Marge after her husband, George, died. Fran was a great guy and will be truly missed.
