I don't even know where to begin and it's taken me this long to even gather words,(which Fred would find hard to believe...that I was without words). Fred meant so much to our family for so many reasons. We met the Hahns through baseball and it just grew from there. He always made us laugh, had a heart of gold and was eager to help out in any way he could. And boy did he and thankfully he knew how much he helped our family and did so modestly. My heart is broken for Sue, Adam and Chad and I hope they know that if I was closer, I would be right there on the doorstep to help in anyway. Rest in eternal peace Fred, you deserve it!

I was Freds eighth grade Social Studies teacher. He was a pure delight to have in class- he had such a great spirit and a certain joie de vie( I have probably spelled that incorrectly)- he was well liked by all and a fun loving kid. I have very fond memories of Fred and I can only imagine how his friends and families will miss him. I am so sorry for your loss. I was looking forward to having him work on my house when the quarantine would be lifted. I will miss that.

My last outing with Fred was in March to the Butterfly Museum and Yankee Candle, And if I knew it was to be our last I wouldve recorded every moment. Fred was my friend, my partner in crime, and my greatest competition for Seaglass w, And if I knew it was to be our last I wouldve recorded every moment. Fred was my friend, my partner in crime, and my greatest competition for Seaglass when we took our walks on the beach. Love you Fred, and Ill miss you ❤

I knew Fred from a painting job he did at our work, he was here approximately 3 weeks but in that short time we all enjoyed his smile, his wit, a few stories with some of his life lessons thrown in there, and his obvious deep love for his family. He was very proud of his sons and wife. On behalf of Gary Edwards, Edwards Answering, and all our staff that enjoyed our conversations with Fred, we send our deepest condolences to his family and friends. May you rest in eternal peace Fred

It's been over a week and I still cannot grasp the fact that you are not with us. Thank you for being the best big brother a gal could have. I miss our ridiculous talks already. The world was a better place with you in it for sure. You will be forever in my heart and I miss you terribly. I'll catch you on the other side. Love your sister, Nicole

I came to know Fred in the last ten years or so, and had lots of fun with him and his great family. I coached baseball with and against him and his sons and his manager Sue, and it truly never mattered who won or lost those games; a good time was had by all. He did some painting for us; powerwashed the house. It was hard for either of us to get a lot done at those times, for we had to talk baseball at great length. I was saddened to hear the news, and wish the family the best going forward.

To Fred's family, I am just learning of your loss. Fred painted my house and a pergola and several other projects in West Hartford . He often brought Adam and Chad along, who, it was clear, were the lights of his life. He was always so much fun to have around. We used to talk so much every day as he worked. When I was trying to decide colors for various details, he never held back on giving me his opinion. And, he was always right. What a loss to the world. This ball of positive energy will be entertaining a new crowd in heaven. My deepest sympathies. Anne Melissa Dowling

I was always the depressed one growing up and you always the strong one and were there for me to pull me out of it. The KIDS gang will always be , because of you. You had a big heart and always thought of others especially myself . We had a lot of good memories I cant put my finger on just one. All I know is the kids will live on forever in your memory. Adam,Chad, and Sue, I was sadden to hear of Fred's passing. You all are in our thoughts and prayers during this time. I remember fondly sitting and talking with Fred after a baseball game or leaning up against the fence with him at Dettore while watching a game.We had many, many great conversations.I will miss those. We would always stop and chat if we ran into each other some where in town. Fred was that kind of guy. Easy to talk to. I know I would have been standing in that long line. Rest in peace my dear friend. I will cherish my memories and remember you just as your picture shows with that great smile.

I cant believe Im just now hearing about this, my heart is heavy for the Hahn family, Fred was my baseball coach when me and his youngest son played on the same team, Fred really knew how to get the team going, if he was parent in the stands you can hear it in his voice he wanted us all to succeed, he didnt go to the games just to see his great son play he went because he was all about Manchester he loved every kid on Chads team and I dont have a single doubt about that in my mind. What an amazing man Im glad he got to make such an unforgettable impact on my life. Sending my deepest condolences to the Hahn family.

Dear Adam, Chad, and Sue,
I can't put into words what a special person Fred was and how much he will be missed. I've known Fred for years but didn't truly know him until just a couple of months ago when he was at our house painting pretty much the whole interior for weeks. We talked and talked. I laughed until tears from his stories of Vinnie and the guys from back in the day. We also talked of other more serious things. And what shone through more than anything else was how much he loved his sons and how proud he was. And how much adoration and respect he had for you, Sue. Fred was a complex person and one of the funniest, most caring, considerate and kind people I've ever known. I am deeply sorry for your loss and am praying for you all during this most difficult time. May God keep him in peace.
Love, Laura
