Frederick Stanley Krol, 75, of Rocky Hill, passed away at home with beloved wife, Gloria Verdinelli Krol and his children by his side after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Born on June 5, 1944 to the late Stanley and Mary Krol, he was raised on the Krol Dairy Farm in Rocky Hill. Fred was proud of his family heritage, his grandparents immigrated to the U.S. in 1910 from Poland. He graduated from Rocky Hill High School in 1962 and worked at Pratt and Whitney as a machinist for 36 years. He served in the US Army from 1965-1967 he was stationed in Swedesboro, NJ where he met the love of his life Gloria, who he was married to for 52 years. He was proud to be an American and believed in preserving the rights of all Americans. He was a car enthusiast, he enjoyed rebuilding, restoring, and showing his classic American cars - '56 Chevy Bel Air '62 Corvette, and '36 Chevy Truck. He was talented, creative and passionate about Classic American Cars and he had a natural ability mechanically, he was a self-taught carpenter, builder, restoration expert and always kept up to date on new technologies. Fred Loved history and traveling, he toured the US on his Harleys with his wife visiting museums and landmarks. He was also an active member of the Over the Hill Gang. Fred leaves behind his son Frederick S. Krol II and daughter-in-law Diane Krol of Wethersfield, daughter Yvonne D'Eliseo and son-in-law Robert D'Eliseo of Rocky Hill, daughter Sonia Krol of Plainville, sister Ellenda DeRezendes and brother-in-law Bob DeRezendes of Rocky Hill, sister Elaine Smith and brother-in-law Thomas Smith of Glastonbury, sister-in-law Mary Krol of Tolland and his 7 cherished grandchildren: Evan, Ethan, and Frederick Krol III, Christian and Gabriela D'Eliseo, Nathan and Julia Doyle. He was predeceased by his brother John Krol, of Tolland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 13th at 10a.m. directly in St. Josephine Bakhita Church, St. James Campus, 767 Elm. St. Rocky Hill. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Rocky Hill. Family and friends are invited to the Giuliano-Sagarino Funeral Home at BROOKLAWN 511 Brook St. Rocky Hill on Tuesday from 5-7p.m. For online guestbook please visit www.brooklawnfuneralhome.com.

Fred and my husband Lou Bermani worked together ar Pratt for many years. They became great friends. Our son and Fred's son graduated college together, and they still remain good friends. Fred's legacy will live on, and he will be sorely missed snd lovingly thought of.
