Geraldine T. "Gerri" Connors

1928 - 2021

Geraldine T. Connors, "Gerri", 92, of West Hartford, passed away peacefully from this life on Thursday, September 2nd, 2021. She was born in Hartford on October 7, 1928 to the late William T. Connors, Sr. and Angelyn (Lecours) Connors and attended Saint Augustine School and Bulkeley High School. She moved to West Hartford in 1962 and after 40 years of service retired from St. Francis Hospital. A devout Catholic, she was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle parish. Her true calling and joy in life was "aunting". In fact, she was known as Auntie not only to her nieces and nephews, but to extended family and friends. Gerri was predeceased by her beloved brothers William T. Connors, Jr. and John F. Connors, Sr. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Anne Albee of Sebastian, FL, six nieces and nephews and their spouses, William Connors and his wife, Lori of West Hartford, Daniel Connors of Farmington, Kathleen O'Brien and her husband, Robert of Avon and Anne Catillo and her husband, Vito of Farmington, Theresa Campbell and her husband Rich of Savannah, GA and John Connors and his wife Lynn of Saint Johns, FL and many grandnieces and nephews and Fall River cousins. She enjoyed a special friendship with her former sister-in-law, Beth Connors of Savannah, GA. The family wishes to express its sincere gratitude to Dr. Philip Karanian and his kind and compassionate staff and special thanks to Sophie Pabich who assisted her with countless errands and appointments. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 10th at 11:30 AM at St. Peter Claver Church, 47 Pleasant Street, West Hartford, CT. Masks are mandatory. There will be no calling hours and a private burial will follow mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
