WILSON, Hazel R. (Rumpf) Hazel R. (Rumpf) Wilson, 98, of Somers and formerly of East Aurora, NY, widow of Hamline C. Wilson, who died in 1981, died Sunday, (April 10, 2005) at Evergreen Healthcare, in Stafford Springs. Hazel was born in Germantown, PA, on March 28, 1907, daughter of the late Frederich and Agnes (Pegge) Rumpf. She was a resident of East Aurora, NY from 1946 to 2003, and moved to Connecticut in 2003. Hazel was an active member of the St. Matthias Episcopal Church and supported many community activities and volunteered for the Red Cross during her time in East Aurora. She was also a member of the East Aurora Country Club, an avid golfer and enjoyed playing Bridge. Hazel is survived by two sons, Hamline C. Wilson Jr. and his wife Dottie of Somers and Stephen F. Wilson and his wife Maureen of North Conway, NH; four grandchildren, Kimberly Guilmette and her husband Jamie of Suffield, Todd Wilson and his wife Joanne of Ipswich, MA, Jennifer Horton and her husband Anthony of Chicago, IL and Geoffrey Wilson and his wife Jackie of North Woodstock, NH; six great grandchildren, Matthew, Zachary, Griffin, Madeline, Nichole and Andrew; and a sister, Dorothy Schaeffer of Bryn Mawr, PA. A memorial service will be held at a future date at the St. Matthias Episcopal Church, Main Street, East Aurora, NY. Inurnment will be in St. Matthias Episcopal Church's Columbarium. Memorial donations in Hazel's memory may be made to Evergreen Healthcare Resident's Fund, P.O.
