MULLIGAN, Helen Burns Helen Burns Mulligan, 92, of Thornton St., Hamden, passed away Saturday, (December 25, 2004) at CT Hospice, Branford. Mrs. MuIligan was the wife of the late James M. Mulligan. She was born in New Britain, August 20, 1912, daughter of the late Patrick Edward and Mary Hanley Burns. She was a secretary at Thompson - Peck Co. prior to her retirement in 1978. She was a member of St. Rita Church since 1935 and the Catholic Womens Club. Along with her husband, she was active in local politics. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Amos James and his wife, Bonnie Burns Mulligan of Stratford, and Donald Thomas Mulligan of Hamden; a sister, Patricia Germain of Southington; a brother, John Burns of Southington; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Wednesday, December 29. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rita Church, Hamden at a time to be announced. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m.
