Ida Julia (Annulli) Lindberg of Manchester (CT) passed away after a lengthy illness on Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, at MeadowBrook of Granby. She was born in Manchester on March 1, 1923, daughter of the late Guilio and Armanda Annulli and spent her life in Manchester. Ida graduated from Manchester High School in 1941 and worked in secretarial and administrative positions for public relations and engineering firms, including Hamilton Standard, before marrying the only man she ever loved, Andrew Lindberg. After raising their five children, Ida returned to work at East Catholic High School, setting new standards for its development fund efforts. Throughout her adult life, Ida volunteered her energy, creativity and time to community and charitable organizations in Manchester. Ida is predeceased by her beloved husband, Andrew, and brother, Frederick Annulli. She is survived by: her children, George Lindberg and his wife Carolyn (Smith) Lindberg, Amanda Lindberg, Heidi Lindberg and her husband David Henderson, Jonathan Lindberg and his wife Lori (Palmieri) Lindberg, Gretchen Stein and her husband Darryl Stein; her sisters-in-law, Marilyn (Lindberg) Coughlin, Dorothy Annulli, Phyllis Lindberg; her grandchildren, Daryl Dwyer, Austen Lindberg, Rachel Lindberg, Garrett Stein, Katie Lindberg, Mark Lindberg, Dalton Stein; her great grandchildren, Blaise and Chase Surwilo-Dwyer. Family and friends may call at Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center Street, Manchester, on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, at 9:00 a.m. with a short service at 10:30 a.m.; the funeral will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a memorial donation be made to either the Alzheimer's Association or the MACC Community Food Pantry. To Ida's Children and Grandchildren:

We were saddened to learn of Ida's death. My parents, Jack and Kathleen McDermott, had a friendship with Andy and Ida that started more than 65 years ago and endured over time and distance, extending into the years that followed Andy's and then Kathleen's deaths.

My own memory of Ida is that she was always gracious and welcoming, with a good sense of humor and a great cook. She was quite a lady.

I know that you must miss your wonderful mother and grandmother.

Dear Heidi & Family-

We always loved being your Mom& Dad's neighbors on Erie St. Our first Airdale LOVED your Dad & itvwas so much fun to watch the two of them interact. Your Mom was always a Mom & used to come out and scold me for weeding without wearing any gloves. We both enjoyed her homemade goodies at Christmas time. Your Mom will always hold a special place in our hearts. So sorry for your loss.

So many wonderful memories of this dear lady. She was the ultimate hostess and had boundless energy. She was so gracious to include my husband and me in their family gatherings as we were 'transplants' and had no family in Connecticut. Rest in peace Ida...you have earned it. Our condolences to the Lindberg family.
