James Nowosad Obituary

LEBANON - It is with profound sorrow that the family of James Francis Nowosad announces his sudden passing on Monday, July 17, 2017. Jamie was born on Aug. 8, 1982 in New Britain, the son of John and Joanne (Germano) Nowosad; loving husband of Genevieve Mary (McCarthy) Nowosad for 10 years; devoted father to their two daughters, Alana Bianca Nowosad and Isabelle Temperence Nowosad; brother of Jason Nowosad (and wife, Berkeley) and Robert Nowosad (and wife, Lydia); uncle to Jack, Ava, Aria and Lilah Nowosad; grandson of Germaine Nowosad; son-in-law of Sean and Patricia McCarthy and best friend of Adam Lamagna, Monty Wilson and Wayne Mohrlein. In his passing, he leaves behind countless aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends and has been reunited in Heaven with his late grandparents, Jan Nowosad and Francesco and Concettina Germano and niece, Julianna Nowosad. James grew up in Lebanon and was a graduate of Lyman Memorial High School before earning his Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Hartford. In early years, he had a great affinity and skill for playing hockey. Throughout his life, Jamie enjoyed being active, especially outdoors, be it hiking Mount Washington, kayaking, stargazing, golfing or even perhaps setting off some homemade fireworks that he personally crafted. Working alongside his in-laws with an incredible work ethic, James was an invaluable member of the "Aurora-McCarthy" family, where he both cared for the facilities and assisted in serving bereaved families while studying Mortuary Science in pursuit of a career in Funeral Service. His passing from us leaves a void in the hearts and lives of so many. May he continue to live on through those he touched, by cherishing his kind hearted, soft spoken and patient way and remembering the true devotion that he had to both friends and family alike, but especially to his beloved wife and beautiful daughters. The family will receive guests from 1 - 3 PM Sunday (July 23rd) at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Road, Colchester. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated 10 AM Monday (July 24th) directly at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 67 West Town St., Lebanon 06249. Following Mass, he will be laid to rest in the New Lebanon Cemetery. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be directed to Lyman Memorial H.S., 917 Exeter Road, Lebanon 06249, to help establish the "James F. Nowosad Memorial Scholarship Fund" (please reference "James Nowosad" in the memo line and make checks payable to the Lebanon Board of Education). www.auroramccarthyfuneralhome.com

My heartfelt sympathies go out to the Nowosad family during this time of deep sorrow. May God's loving-kindness and promises that He gives us in His Word, such as the one at 1 Thessalonians 4:14, help ease your pain and comfort your hearts.
