Joanne Meier

Joanne (Brazel) Meier, 73, of Manchester, beloved wife of Richard W. Meier, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Carthage, NY, on June 15th, 1949, to the late William and Margaret (O'Keefe) Brazel. She was employed in the insurance industry with Travelers. She enjoyed needlework and was a passionate gardener. This passion enabled her to have her home featured on the 2011 Manchester Garden Tour, something she took great pride in. Joanne is survived by her husband Rick of 36 years, brothers William Brazel and his wife Helen, David Brazel and his wife Anne, Tom Brazel and his partner Ellen Chamberlain, sisters Mary Elizabeth Frey and her husband Jason, and Ann Marie Dumais and her husband Pete. She leaves nieces and nephews, Katie Dubaldo and husband Dom, Peter Brazel, Patrick Brazel, Kara Brazel and fiancé Kyle Almeida, Megan Petardi and husband Drew, Alison Brazel, Sara Brazel, Joshua Frey and wife Elise, Ryan Frey, Conrad Meier and wife Klava, Arianna Dumais, and Lily Dumais as well as grandniece and grandnephews, Luca and Nico Dubaldo and Brady and Molly Petardi. Lastly, her dog Buddy will miss snuggle time with "mom". Family and friends may call on the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center Street, Manchester, on Thursday, September 15, 2022, from 4-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bridget Church, 80 Main Street, Manchester, followed by burial at St. Bridget Cemetery.
