My deepest sympathies go out to the Higgins family. Col. John J.was one of the finist officers I knew in the CTARNG. He always had time, for all the soldiers. He will be remember and missed by all that served with him.

Dear Alicia, Joan and Family,
Bob and I were so saddened upon hearing of your grandfather's passing. He was a true gentleman and we so enjoyed seeing him whenever we came to visit you or your mother. I know Bob always looked forward to talking with him the few times we had the pleasure of his company. Just keep the good times with him in focus and appreciate the long and happy life he lived.

Alicia,
I am so sorry for your loss. I know how proud you were of your grandfather and it showed the day he came to visit your first grade class at Lake Garda. You were so excited to be able to share him with your students. He was a wonderful storyteller and the students loved his stories about his time during the war. May these memories and more fill your heart and bring you peace. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Amy, Joan, Amie, John and families,
John was so special to our family as he epitomized true friendship to Dad/Harold. We have thoroughly treasured our friendship as a result and are saddened with his passing, but have every confidence that he and Harold are enjoying yet another Friendly's coffee and toasted blueberry muffin. We enjoyed reading his manuscript history and reflect fondly on many good discussions of "the good old days". John was a genuine gentleman and justifiably proud of his family - you are wonderful reflections of his legacy. We remember John with love and gratitude for his consistent thoughtfulness, and wish comfort to each of you at this time of loss and adjustment.
Love to all, Frances
