Joseph Archambault Obituary

Joseph W. Archambault Jr. age 57, passed away suddenly on April 30, 2015. Joe was born January 1, 1958, the beloved son of Marjorie (Cassidy) Archambault and the late Joseph W. Archambault Sr. and lived in Waterbury and South Windsor most of his life. Joe was a graduate of Bunker Hill Grammar School, Holy Cross High School Class of 1975, attended Central Connecticut State University and graduated from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting. He spent his career as a driver for Yankee Courier. He was known to be the most cautious of drivers as he drove from state to state very early in the morning. Joe's favorite place to be was Cape Cod where he spent many years with his family. He looked forward to long weekends at the Cape golfing with his long time school friends. Joe's family and friends will truly miss him. Well liked and respected, Joe was a kind and gentle man; he had a ready smile for everyone and saw the good in every person he met. His dry Irish sense of humor was contagious; he liked nothing better than to laugh and put others at ease. Joe treated everyone with respect. His friends and family are fortunate to have known and loved him. The world is a better place for Joe having been in it. Besides his mother of Waterbury, Joe leaves a sister Mary Ellen Denley of Litchfield, two special nephews Ryan C. Denley of Flushing, NY., Robert J. Denley of Santa Cruz, CA., his former wife Jeanne (Dennis) Archambault, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends, especially from childhood, than one generally couldn't make in two lifetimes. He also leaves his beloved dog Bailey who would patiently wait all day just to wag his tail to greet Joey. He was predeceased by a brother Edward F. Archambault. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday May 12, 2015 at 10 a.m. directly at Our Lady of Loreto, 12 Ardsley Road, Waterbury, CT 06708. Burial will be private and at the convenience of his family. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Mission of Waterbury, Inc., P.O. Box 1612, Waterbury, CT 06721 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105-3678. The O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main Street has been entrusted to assist his family with arrangements.
