Dear Wiesia,
I just found out today after Mass of Joe's passing. I'm very saddened and want to express my deepest sympathy to you and all of Joe's family. Joe was my friend through daily Mass and I always enjoyed speaking with him and you after Mass. Although I only knew him as Joe and for a few years he was one of the gentlest souls I have ever known. I will miss him. I will keep him and you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

I only have two uncles and Joe was one of them. I have very fond memories of Joe although I haven't seen him for some time as I live in Idaho. He was lots of fun when we were kids. I remember how we always admired his fancy boots and how he and my other uncle, Doug would put me on top of the swinging door at my grandmother's house and leave me there for fun. I thought this was fun too. My condolences to all in his family. Mary Mullaney

I know Joe somewhat through my husband David Lewandoski (his cousin), and I always found Joe to be a very warm and kind man. He came to every family event that I ever attended and probably all the others I did not. He would be the first one over to greet me with a hug and a warm hello. He was always very kind to me. I'll miss seeing him when I go down to Conneticut. Rest in Peace Joe.
