Josephine Camilleri Obituary
Josephine (Carpinteri) Camilleri, 83, of Rocky Hill, beloved wife of Salvatore J. "Ted" Camilleri for 63 years, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday (December 4, 2013) with her loving family by her side. She was born on July 3, 1930 in New Britain and was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Theresa (Cassarino) Carpinteri. Josephine was employed by Travelers Insurance Company, retiring several years ago. She was a longtime, faithful communicant of St. James Church, Rocky Hill. She was a member of the Italian American Junior League, enjoyed reading, watching baseball, cooking and her bowling league, where she made many friends. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will never be forgotten. Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Scott J. Camilleri and his wife Lisa and her four adored grandsons, Adam, Matthew, Brett and Jason, all of Chester. She was predeceased by a brother and three sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Church, 767 Elm St., Rocky Hill. Everyone is asked to go directly to church. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Calling hours are TODAY from 4-7 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
