Julie M. Currier

Julie M. Currier, 47, of Bristol, passed unexpectedly early Tuesday morning, April 13, 2021 at her home. She is the beloved wife of Joseph C. Currier and a devoted and loving Mom of Ian and Molly Currier. Julie was born on August 29, 1973 in New Britain the daughter of Thomas and Rosalie (Machowski) Obremski. She was currently employed by UConn Health as a Telecom Operator and a member of St. Stanislaus Church. Julie always had a smile on her face and when she wasn't enjoying her time spent with her family, she was in touch with all of her friends or furiously shopping. Her simple pleasures in life were music, movies and television. Besides her husband, children and parents, Julie leaves her brother Brian Obremski and his wife Sarah; her in-laws James and Carie Currier, Jennifer and Michael Jakiel, Jean Currier and her wife Maura Diesly; nieces and nephews Ava, Hope and Makayla Obremski, Amy, Ryan, Joshua and Ally Jakiel and Sophie and Greta Currier. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 18, 2021 between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. at O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville/Bristol. Julie's funeral will be held on Monday, April 19, 2021 from the funeral home beginning at 10:45 a.m. and will proceed to St. Stanislaus Church, 510 West St., Bristol. Committal service and interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 522 Terryville Ave., Bristol. In lieu of flowers, donations are to be directed to the Susan G. Komen Foundation www.komen.org.
