June Merrill Obituary
June E. Merrill, 89, of Walpole, formerly of Somers beloved wife of the late George Merrill passed away peacefully on November 27, 2015 at St. Mary Home, in West Hartford, CT. She was born on June 12, 1926 in Manchester, CT and was the daughter of the late Gustav and Signe (Hilding) Magnuson. She was a resident of Somers for fifty years before moving to Walpole where she lived for the past ten years. June was a member of Somers Congregational Church. She loved cooking but most of all she loved spending time with her family. June is survived by her two daughters, Linda Smith and her husband Gary of West Hartford, and Suzanne Reardon and her husband John of Medfield, MA; five grandchildren, Erica Thompson and her husband Brian of West Hartford, Abby Ruiz and her husband Carlos of West Hartford, JJ Reardon and his partner Jason Fox of Somerville, MA, Mathew Reardon and Meagan Reardon of Boston, MA; two great-grandchildren, Maya and Noelle Thompson. She was predeceased by her siblings, George, Harry, Carl, and Hilda. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Somers Congregational Church, 599 Main Street, Somers (Please meet at Church). Burial will follow in Somers Center Cemetery. Somers Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial donations in June's memory may be made to Somers Congregational Church, P.O. Sue, Linda and each of your families,
Though belated, please accept our condolences on the passing of your mom. June was a treasure. Always caring and full of humor. She will be missed here on earth but I know she is joyful reuniting with many loved ones in her heavenly home.
I am so happy Myrt and I got to visit with her when we were in NE in May. She was so full of memorable stories that had us all laughing throughout lunch.
June was very special to all of us. Especially Fred and Jon lived being in her company.
This Christmas will be difficult for all of you. We are thinking of you and pray you are all well.

Sue and family,
Kathy and I were saddened to learn of your Mom's passing. She was a wonderful person and I'm sure the anchor of your family. Many years ago your Mom & Dad opened your home to a bunch of young kids a long way from home. Your home, along with Mom Moore's, were a welcome refuge for us during a hectic and challenging part of our young lives. For this I will always be grateful.
Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time of loss. Hopefully time will ease the pain and the wonderful memories you and your family have of your Mom will keep her alive in your hearts.
We have wonderful memories and will always cherish our time in Somers with your family.
