Kenneth R. Holland

Kenneth R. Holland, of East Hampton, passed suddenly Saturday 10/28/2023. Ken was born to the late Ronald Holland, Sr., and Shirley (Dufresne) Holland, both formerly of East Hampton on 10/23/1955. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia (Monroe) Holland, his children Eric J. Holland, Shannon (Holland) Sims, and Paul S. Holland; as well as his stepchildren Yolanda Prioleau, Adrianne (Prioleau) Bongiovanni, and Nicole Norfleet; his two brothers Daniel Holland, Sr., and Ronald Holland Jr., 14 surviving grand children, 5 great grandchildren, and their furbaby Kenda. He was predeceased by his eldest son, Jason M. Holland.

Ken was born in Middletown, and grew up in East Hampton; graduating from East Hampton High School in 1973. Ken proudly volunteered for the US Air Force in 1973 and served through 1979. He also served in the US Army Reserve from 1979-1984. Ken also proudly joined Pratt and Whitney in 1980 as a tool apprentice and quickly moved up to becoming an overhaul and repair mechanic. There he achieved many performance awards from both the air force and Pratt. He dedicatedly remained an employee of Pratt for 30 years.

Ken was a competitive water skier with his brothers as a young man. He greatly enjoyed the outdoors and camping. His favorite past time was curling up on the couch surrounded by family to watch a movie or tv show. He was the most proud parent and grandparent there ever was. He will be greatly missed by all.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 19, 2023 from 1-5p at Theresa A. Rook Community Center, 501 Rook Rd, Cromwell CT .
